Validation Buckets

Some schools have the need to prevent some students/customers from enrolling for a class they are ineligible to participate. An example is that a freshman in school can't enroll for a class designed for sophomores, juniors or seniors. You can edit a product to add a Validation Bucket Code in ePayTrak.  

To Configure your Bucket Codes:

  1. First, you will need to navigate to the correct screen by choosing from the menu Configure > Store. Scroll to the bottom right of the screen to see Validation Bucket section as shown above.

  2. Add a code in the Code box. Then add a description in the Description box. Click the 'Add' button when you are finished. I followed those steps to add the 3rd grade.

  3. Click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the page when finished.

  4. Next, go to Catalog > Browse to add the appropriate code to the product/class you wish to limit enrollment by the codes. I chose a 3rd Grade Field Trip product. Click on the code you wish to use as shown below. You can also add more than one bucket per product. Hold down the Control Key and select an additional bucket code.  

  1. It's is the Validation Bucket itself that triggers the bucket to be enforced for the product. The Description appears in the drop-down at the product level.
