U.S States and Direct Certification
Notes for Direct Certification tools, per State
Minnesota
File Upload Format- TXT
-Local ID on file does not need to match Edutrak ID
-Matches on Student Full name and DOB-
Note from 10/21/2025 on how it matches
Confirmed with Ryan that the system first checks for a student ID (if provided) and uses that record to verify a match based on first name, last name, date of birth, and gender.
If no student ID is provided, the system iterates through all records until it finds a match based on those four criteria. Therefore, while the student ID is referenced in the process, it is not the primary determining factor unless explicitly provided.
-MN is the only State that has a Direct Certification student assignment tool

* If we do not a file upload tool for a particular state, one can be built. We just need a copy of their Direct Certification file.
