Pricing Groups

Pricing Groups can be utilized when you have a unique or irregular pricing structure. In this case, we want to create a discount if you register for 2 classes and a different discount if you register for 3 classes.

To Add a Pricing Group:

  1. Navigate to Catalog > Pricing Groups to begin the process of adding a Pricing Group.

  2. In this example, we are going to create a Pricing Group for Science classes.

  3. Enter the name of the Pricing Group, add a Department and an Accounting Code from the drop-down menu as shown below.

 

  1. Next, we are going to add three different pricing Line Units. 1.5 credits, 3.0 credits and 4.5 credits. First enter 1.5 and then Click Add.

  2. Enter 3.0 and click Add. Enter 4.5 and click Add. You will see a screen as shown below with the different pricing group units.

 

  1. Next, we will need to add the price for each Pricing Group. Click 'Edit Costs' to the right of the 1.5 unit.

  2. Enter the Cost Name and the Pricing Group Cost. I entered One Class Science Class and a Cost of $170. Then click 'Add'.

 

  1. After Clicking the Add button, you will see the screen below with the One Class Pricing Group. Click 'Return to Pricing Group Lines' to add the other Pricing Cost Groups.

 

  1. Click 'Edit Costs' next to the Pricing Unit Two for two classes.  

  2. Follow the same steps to add the Pricing Unit Three for three classes. You will then have a Pricing Group structure created as seen below.

 

  1. Now the Pricing Groups have been created. The next step is to open the Science Class Products to use that Pricing Group for your class.

  1. I opened the Biology I class.  Note the price needs to be set at Zero. Then in the Pricing Groups, select Science Class Discount. Then enter the Units. In this example, I have set the Units to 1.5. Make the same changes to all your Science classes.

  2. Congratulations! You have established Pricing Groups for your Science Classes.

  3. When a customer purchases three classes, you will see the Pricing Group price as shown below.

 

  1. ePayTrak makes the necessary adjustments and the Basket/Checkout window will display the Order Contents as below.
